myPlanetTM solar thermal panels attach easily to a building roof to absorb heat generated from the sun. They are connected via a heat exchanger and pump to your hot water cylinder, allowing the collected solar radiation to heat your domestic hot water supply.

Our Thermal Solar panels (flat plate or evacuated tube) can be used in conjunction with conventional boilers only (not Combi boilers). You will need a qualified electrician to connect the controller and a plumber to make the final connection to the pressurised system. Your roof tiles or slates are left alone in most cases, although just one needs to be removed for the pipes to go in to the loft area. This is fully covered after installation with flashing and is perfectly weatherproof. The tank in your house needs to be checked to make sure it is capable of working with a solar system, and in most cases the tank will need to be replaced with a twin coil system. All other parts will remain in situ.
Once installed, the system will be able to provide up to 70% of your hot water requirement for washing, dishwashers, showering etc.
Due to the relatively low temperature of the heated water it cannot be connected to your radiators, but could work in conjunction with a water based underfloor heating system.
